About the founding steward
Zinx Technologies
A Louisiana company that founded the Zynx Charter and stewards it until an independent body governs it.
From IT support to civic infrastructure
Zinx Technologies was founded in LaPlace, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It began as a hands-on IT company providing computer repair, networking, server security and digital support across Louisiana.
That practical work grew into an interest in the systems people live inside: how schools teach, how institutions decide, and how communities recover and disagree. The Zynx Charter and its four papers came out of that interest.
What stewardship means
The steward looks after the Charter for now. It does not own its future.
- Publishes each draft and keeps one public changelog.
- Convenes the first review and consultation.
- Hands governance to an independent body, under the rules in Annex E of the Charter.
- Holds no veto over the Charter, now or after the handover.
The founder
Ainsley Becnel founded Zinx Technologies and wrote the first drafts of the Charter and its four papers. The Becnel family’s long roots in Louisiana civic and legal life are told on the Becnel Legacy page.
“Limits are fabricated by mentality.”
Ainsley Becnel’s personal motto. It means that many limits people accept are habits of mind, such as the belief that every hard question has only two sides. It does not deny that the laws of nature, the law and human dignity set real limits.
Ainsley Becnel is also the author of a 2028 independent presidential platform. It is published separately and is not part of the Charter, its papers or this ecosystem.
